What is ACEO?

ACEO stands for "Art Cards, Editions and Originals". About the only rule these cards have is their size: 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches , That is the same size of a trading card.

Before the ACEO appeared, the cards were called ATC (Art Trading Cards). The cards were made to be traded. Normally, the cards were traded between artists and everyone else was left out of the trading with no ATC cards to trade. Soon, some artists realized this problem, and started making their cards available to the general public for a small fee. So everyone could start trading.

The ATC cards are also sold as originals or editions. It’s always a good ise to know which kind you are purchasing. If the ATC is a print it, it should be advertised that was. Most are signed and numbered on the back.

Art Cards can be a lot of fun. From all over the world, artists are creating, and now selling these little charms in diverse mediums and of different subjects. Some of the medium are watercolor, oil, acrylic, colored pencil, pastels, photography, pen and ink, sketching, collage and just about anything else the artists can think of. Some of the styles are abstract, surrealism, impressionism and expressionism to name a few. Almost every interest and subject is covered. Exceptionally collectable pocket art, you will have a hard time stopping at one.
